Pink flowers help me pretend that spring is near, even though there is nothing outside that looks remotely like it today.

You can’t keep hiding difficult things in trunks.

Oh yes, it’s another suitcase! The list I keep at the back of my mind of things to look for at flea markets and thrift shops is many miles long, and one thing I have been keeping an eye out for for a long time is one of these round hatbox-type of suitcases. The other day I felt a sudden urge to visit Fretex (Salvation Army shop), not planning to look for anything in particular, and the first thing I saw as I entered the store was this oh so lovely case. I swear it was calling my name!

(The books are “How to feel at home in Norway” (would be funny to bring on a trip around the country!), a lovely 1966 copy of Tove Jansson’s “Moominpappa at Sea” (“Pappaen og havet”), and the signed copy of Jeanette Winterson’s “Lighthousekeeping” (one of my all-time favourite books, read it!) that I got for my birthday. ♥ )

Lovely plaid interior. ♥

Now, to plan a train journey to somewhere… :D
